The Spiritual Heroes of Las Vegas
We were in Las Vegas last weekend offering energy healing workshops to the delightful spiritual community in that area. It was inspiring to comprehend the great stability and dedication of the Las Vegas spiritual community joyfully upholding the light of Divinity for this city.
Las Vegas is best known for its amazing entertainment---world class shows, five-star restaurants, architecture unlike anywhere else on Earth, and of course an opportunity to "strike it rich" in the casinos.
People come from all over the world to enjoy American exuberance and to test their chances in the casinos. In the casinos anyone can be a winner. Winning is based upon the subtle attributes of karma, luck, timing, and confidence. Relative features of individuality are not as important as these more subtle aspects.
The question of how one has the good fortune to win is at the foundation of Las Vegas' fascination. Although gambling is considered by some to be a morally questionable activity, the inquiry into the mechanics of how to manifest a big win is actually quite profound, honorable. Seeking the answer to this question leads to knowing the fundamentals of life, Self, and creation.
Those holding onto a spiritual practice in Las Vegas are living beacons of purity, truth, and wisdom. As such, their very existence shines a light upon the subtle intelligences of the Las Vegas area. The light reveals a particular quality of being in the area which supports profound and detailed understanding of the way in which creation manifests. This is actually why Las Vegas has evolved in such a unique way, and why it is universally recognized as a place where anyone can become rich in a moment, where anyone can live their most intimate dream.
Aligning with the mechanics of manifestation requires being at home with the level of one's own being where these aspects of creation are accepted as one's own self. Emphasis on "accepted". The point is that the deeper we fathom the inner reaches of our own consciousness, the faster impulses of creativity and intelligence move. At the point of pure Being, intelligence moves with infinite speed. So, if there are beliefs about oneself which are self-sabotaging, rejecting, critical, etc. then it will not be possible to escape from the feelings and thoughts which build on these feelings when working from the subtle perspective. One must get one's ducks in line first, then set about to manifest one's dreams.
One of the features which we observed among the spiritual heroes and heroines of the Las Vegas area was their incredibly open acceptance of themselves, each other, and life experience. They don't have a direct connection with the entertainment and gambling industry, but radiate their light quietly from the churches, yoga studios, health food stores and healthy homes. They embrace the good in all people and all things and are completely tolerant of the qualities or areas where growth is still happening. Every expression of human experience is a form of embodied Divinity. Everything is life, everything is living--even feelings, laws, and collective intention.
