Allergies are a combination of fear and anger. Sometimes a natural, benign substance such as pollen is seen by our body as an enemy. This fear in the body can activate an hystemic response from the immune system. The body's hystemic response is an expression of anger in its most useful form. Inflammation, mucus production, and extra blood flow are all designed to bring the body back to balance. Think of establishing healthy boundaries. However, in the case of allergies, the unnecessary defense against a non-enemy is ends up attacking our body rather than defending it. When allergic reactions arise, this is an opportunity to carefully observe moments in which you are feeling unfounded fear and responding with anger. As when considering any part of the body, we have to consider their function in terms of Totality and the process by which Totality--Unmanifest Being--manifests as form.  Kidneys are filters. They are constantly discriminating and regulating. The kidneys are experts on both the quality and quantity of blood required to support the highest health in the body. Our bodies receive two billion bits of information a second. To avoid overload, both the subtle and dense levels of our system have to filter all this information.
